Back in the the late 90's, packaging a commercial grade GPS system required a backpack, antennas, and a computer. GeoXT™ was the world's first submeter accurate commercial handheld GPS receiver and processing system. Pretty neat.

Our ethnographic research process informed a a strategy called The 3D's (Dentition, Development, and Dexterity). When you only have pennies to manufacture a complete set of decorated plastics, buttons, & dials, well, you need to get creative. At the sub- $20 price point for game controllers, "extra" is not a word that goes over well. As it turned out, our "webbed" two tone clam-shell was a smash, and carried over into many other Gravis controllers.

NASA wanted a system to allow crewmembers to grow, study, and experiment with plants on the space shuttle. Easier said than done. A kick-ass team replaced a mid-deck locker with an elegant system to do just that- and more. Our modular, upgradable system flew on STS-78, STS-87, and STS-93.
